Heat transfer in an insulated cubic box or insulated spherical tank is very important in many engineering applications. In this work, a 1D theoretical analysis is carried out to predict heat transfer in an insulated cube. The simple 1D approach used is able to predict 3D heat transfer scenarios very accurately. This talk is very interesting in the perspective of using a simple 1D approach to solve a real-life 3D problem very accurately and reliably.
