BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Abhishek Dwivedi graduated in Chemical Engineering (B-Tech) from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (An Institute of National Importance). Subsequently, he worked in Bharat Oman Refineries Limited (now, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) as a process engineer. Later, he pursued his M-Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay. He then completed his PhD from IIT Bombay in a co-advised mode with his co-supervisor being from Washington University in St. Louis (WUSTL), Missouri, US. As part of that program, he spent 6 months working at WUSTL as a Visiting Research Associate during his PhD. He then worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at University of Alberta, Canada for 2 years before joining NIT Rourkela as an Assistant Professor in 2023. Along with academic research, he has completed many industrial projects during his PhD and post-doc with reputed Indian and International organizations. He has keen interest and experience in the areas of advanced process design, optimization and techno-economic analysis aimed at developing advanced chemical processes for waste (CO2, biomass etc.) to fuel and chemical conversion. He welcomes anyone who is interested in working in the aforementioned area in his research group.
