Faculty Profile

BIOGRAPHY

With 28 years of experience in the field, I have dedicated my career to teaching, applied research, technology development, and industry service, particularly focusing on engineering ceramics, bio-ceramics, and refractories. Throughout my career, I have made noteworthy contributions, including the publication of four significant books: "Nanostructured Ceramics: Characterization and Analysis" (CRC Press, USA), "Ceramic Processing: Industrial Practices" (CRC Press, USA), "Introduction to Refractories for Iron and Steelmaking" (Springer Nature, Switzerland), and "Fundamental Design of Steelmaking Refractories" (Wiley, USA). Additionally, I have authored five book chapters, over 75 research papers in refereed journals, and hold six patents (three Indian and three Korean). I have successfully supervised 12 Indian government and industry-sponsored projects worth $300,000 and guided 11 Ph.D. theses, with five students already awarded their degrees. My work has significantly contributed to advancing knowledge and technology in ceramics. I have received Materials Research Society of India (MRSI) Medal, 2016 for recent work on patient specific Orthopaedic implants. I had opportunity to involve as Guest Expert on Ceramic Processing and Engineering for High Power Lasers, Hilase, Czech Republic.
