BIOGRAPHY
Prof. Dash received his B.Sc. in Chemistry from G. Sc. College, Athagarh, Odisha in 1999, and then moved to Utkal University to pursue MSc from 1999-2001. From 2002-2004, he obtained his M.Tech. degree in Materials Science from IIT Bombay. He obtained his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Robert W. J. Scott at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada (2005-2010). He was a Post-doctoral fellow under Prof. A. Sayari at the University of Ottawa, Canada (April 2010-Nov 2011). He began as an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela in November of 2011, later promoted to Associate Professor in February, 2018 and to Professor on March 29, 2023. He served as HOD Chemistry at NIT Rourkela for 3 years (2021-24). His research interests are nanocatalysis, gas and electrochemical sensing and removal of toxic ions. He has published 60 papers in high quality and peer-reviewed journals so far and has h-index of 27 with over 2200 citations. He has handled 05 research projects so far and won numerous awards for his scientific contributions. So far, 08 PhD students (06 as PI and 02 as co-PI) have been graduated from his supervision and 05 more are currently working.
