Research Expertise • Environmental Engineering/Wastewater Treatment Academic Expertise • Industrial Safety & Pollution Abatement • Renewable Energy and Petroleum Refining Process • Chemical Process Technology Dr. Arvind Kumar is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, India. He obtained his master & doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Roorkee in 2003 & 2008, respectively. Prior to his appointment at Rourkela, Dr. Arvind served to carbon Technology Unit, National Physical Laboratory Newdelhi, India. His major academic and research interests are in Industrial Safety & Pollution Abatement, Renewable Energy and Petroleum Refining Process, wastewater treatment respectively. He has published more than 27 papers in peer-reviewed journals, more than 22 papers in national & international conferences/seminars. He has attended more than 20 conferences/seminars/symposia/short-term. He has more than 1488 citations of his research papers with h-index of 18. He has guided 5 Ph. D. thesis and 20 M.Tech thesis. He has delivered 20 invited talks so far. He has also conducted 3 short term course including GIAN course related to industrial safety and handled 3 projects so far. Dr. Arvind is a Senior Member of International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT), Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society (APCBEES) and Life Member of Indian Institution of Chemical Engineers (IIChE), The Institution of Engineers (IE, India) and member of International Association of Engineers (IAENG) and Science and Engineering Institute (SCIEI). He is a member of the Editorial Board of ISST Journal of wood Engineering. He is reviewer of the all the leading journals of Chemical and Environmental Engineering like AIChE Journal, Adsorption Science & Technology, Bioresource Technology, Colloids and Surfaces, A: Physicochemical
