Syllabus
Introduction to Digital Image Analysis, Remote Sensing and GIS software, Image Exploration, Image Corretion/ Recrification, Georeferencing, extraction of DEM and its derivatives, watershed delineation, LU/LC classification, Unsupervised Classification, Supervised Classification, Accuracy assessment through error matrix, interpolation methods.
Course Objectives
- To be familiar with remote sensing technology and its uses.
- To equip the students with map development capabilities by the help of GIS
Course Outcomes
1. To acquire knowledge about digital image processing techniques <br />2. To enable students to manage spatial data in digital format <br />3. Ability to use remote sensing data and GIS maps to solve problems related to water resources
