To understand the function and effects of cement, aggregate, and admixture in concrete and their properties |

To understand the norms and their basis in codes for mix design and quality assessment of concrete and its constituents. |

To study and understand the properties of modern construction materials such as special concretes, metals, composites, water-proofing compounds, non-weathering materials, and smart materials |
Course Outcome

It will help students understand the basic principles of concrete science and engineering. |

The students will learn about mix design, the assessment process of concrete quality, common concrete issues, and the possible mitigation methodologies in the field as an engineer. |
