Syllabus
A systematic step-by-step approach towards development of a targeted product applying the principles of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
Course Objectives
- To make the students aware of current trends in different types of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering related products
- Techno-commercial aspects of various products
Course Outcomes
1. An ability to do a technical survey on current requirement of various types of products related to Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. <br />2. A systematic study on the historical progress of development of various generations of a product. <br />3. Students should take a note of World-wide market analysis and production leaders pertaining to a particular product and their forecasted growth. <br />4. Understanding the process parameters for production of laboratory scale cast, composite or any other product and identify the anomalies/challenges. <br />5. Developing innovative ideas to modify/improve the existing route or developing new route to prepare a product in a cost effective technique. <br />6. SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis of the product/processing route.
