Course Objectives
- To develop skills in the advanced theory of structural steel design and analysis
Course Outcomes
1. Students will recognize limit states and failure modes in structural steel members and systems <br />2. Students will be familiar with the design specification and codes for steel structures and understand their basis in mechanics, testing, and analysis <br />3. Students will be able to design structural steel and connections with an understanding of their limit states/failure modes and current design specifications/codes.
