Abstract:

The drive to create novel and miniaturized devices with multiple degrees of control has led to extensive research on the multiferroic materials. The presence of multiple ferroic orderings, such as elastic, electric dipole, and magnetic spin, in these materials and their cross coupling might facilitate the development of innovative next-generation devices. In this regard, development and establishment of magnetoelectricity in a new material and understanding the physics may prove beneficial in the evolution of this field. In recent years, spinel ferrites have attracted lot of research attention because of their various intriguing properties. In this talk, the speaker will present his Ph.D registration seminar and talk about his work towards investigating magnetoelectricity in a single phase inverse spinel ferrite.
