Mine Environment and Safety Engineering, EIA, Environmental Management in Mining, Spontaneous Heating of Coal, Solid Fuels and Clean Coal Technology

BASIC INFORMATION

  • Make & Model : Parr 6100
  • Department : Mining Engineering
  • Location : Solid Fuel Technology Laboratory
  • Category : Category - III
  • Status : Functional

PRINCIPLE:

Sample is ignited electrically. As the sample is burnt, heat is produced. The rise in temperature is measured. Since barring the loss of heat, the amount of heat produced by burning the sample must be equal to the amount of heat absorbed by the Bomb Calorimeter assembly.

APPLICATION:

Determination of calorific value of Coal and other combustible samples
