PRINCIPLE:

Attenuated total reflection fourier transform infra red spectroscopy: when IR beam fall on samples, the bond present in sample start vibrating at a wavenumber with which it has resonance. Hence, we get change in trasmittance/absorbance at that wavenumber, resulting in a peak (positive for absorption or negative for transmittance).

qualitative analysis of water soluble solutes.
