BASIC INFORMATION

  • Make & Model : Roop Telsonic Ultrasonix Limited, M4000
  • Department : Mechanical Engineering
  • Location : Department of Mechanical Engineering
  • Category : Category - III
  • Status : Functional

PRINCIPLE:

The M4000 Ultrasonic Welding Machine operates on the principle of ultrasonic welding, which uses high-frequency ultrasonic acoustic vibrations to create a solid-state weld between materials. The vibrations are generated by a transducer and are applied to the materials to be joined, causing localized melting and bonding without the need for additional materials like adhesives or solder.

APPLICATION:

Joining thin sheet within the range of 0.1 to 0.25 mm. Plastic Welding: Joining plastic components in automotive, medical, and consumer electronics industries. Metal Welding: Bonding metal parts in aerospace, electronics, and industrial applications. Textile Welding: Sealing and joining textile materials in the garment and upholstery industries. Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Inspecting materials for defects without causing damage.
