BASIC INFORMATION

  • Make & Model : Ingersoll-rand, 253D
  • Department : Mechanical Engineering
  • Location : Department of Mechanical Engineering
  • Category : Category - III
  • Status : Functional

PRINCIPLE:

The 253D operates on the principle of reciprocating compression, where a piston moves back and forth within a cylinder to compress air. The air is drawn in through a suction valve, compressed by the piston, and then expelled through a discharge valve.

APPLICATION:

Automotive Service and Body Shops: Providing compressed air for various tools and equipment. Fleet Maintenance: Ensuring proper maintenance of vehicles. Machine Shops: Powering various machining tools. Production and Manufacturing Lines: Supporting production processes. Woodworking Shops: Assisting in cutting and shaping wood. Dry Cleaners and Car Washes: Operating cleaning equipment. General Maintenance/Repair Shops: Providing air for various maintenance tasks. Farms: Supporting agricultural equipment and operations
