The Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) measures heat flow associated with material transitions as a function of temperature or time. Key transitions include melting, crystallization, glass transition, and other thermal events.
Heat Flux DSC: In the DSC 200 F3 Maia®, the sample and reference are subjected to the same temperature program. The differential heat flow required to maintain the sample and reference at the same temperature is measured. This heat flow correlates to material-specific properties.
