PRINCIPLE:

The Alpha 300R operates on the principle of confocal Raman spectroscopy, which combines confocal microscopy with Raman spectroscopy. A focused laser beam excites the sample, and the scattered light is analyzed for Raman shifts, providing spatially resolved chemical information about the sample.

APPLICATION:

To identify molecules and study chemical bonding and intramolecular bonds, to characterize materials, measure temperature, and find the crystallographic orientation of a sample etc. Materials Science: Analyzing the chemical composition and structure of materials. Biomedical Research: Studying biological samples and tissues. Pharmaceuticals: Characterizing drug compounds and formulations. Nanotechnology: Investigating nanomaterials and their properties.
