BASIC INFORMATION

  • Make & Model : Operon make, FDCF-12003
  • Department : Biotechnology and Medical Engineering
  • Location : Tissue Engineering Lab-I (Biomaterial)
  • Category : Category - III
  • Status : Functional

PRINCIPLE:

The FDCF-12003 operates on the principle of sublimation under vacuum, where water is removed from the sample by freezing it and then reducing the pressure to allow the frozen water to vaporize directly into gas without passing through the liquid state. This preserves the samples structure and properties.

APPLICATION:

This lyophilizer is used in laboratories and research facilities for drying biological materials, pharmaceuticals, and other temperature-sensitive products. It is particularly suitable for applications where chemical-free processing is required.
