Signal and Image Processing (M.Tech. - 2yrs)

1 An ability to independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems in the area of signal and image processing
2 An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document
3 Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area of signal and image processing. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements of undergraduate program in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
4 To impart knowledge on practical system design so that students will be able to design, operate; maintain the equipment’s relevant to signal processing industry
5 To provide a broad knowledge in multi-disciplinary engineering subjects and latest technological advancements in image, signal processing, VLSI, and embedded design domains of engineering

1 To develop the ability among students to synthesize data and technical concepts for application to electronic product design and to solve real life problems in industries
2 To promote students awareness of the life-long learning and to introduce them to professional ethics and codes of professional practice
3 To provide opportunity for students to work as part of teams on multi-disciplinary projects
4 To provide students a successful career in industry that meets the needs of national and multinational companies
5 To provide students with a sound foundation in the mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and analyze engineering problems and to prepare them for higher studies and research
