BIOGRAPHY
Dr. ACP is Associate Professor and Head of the Astronomy and Astrophysics group at NIT Rourkela's Department of Physics and Astronomy. He holds a BSc degree from College of Basic Science & Humanities, OUAT, BBSR (2003) and MSc degree from department of Physics, Utkal University, Vanivihar, BBSR (2005), followed by a PhD in Astronomy from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bangalore (2012). His post-doctoral research was from TIFR Mumbai. Dr. ACP's primary research interest lies in ultraviolet astronomy, focusing on stars, galaxies, planetary nebulae, and globular clusters using UVIT/ASTROSAT and multi-wavelength instruments. With over 35 peer-reviewed publications, four completed PhD supervisions, and four national-level research grants, Dr. ACP is a distinguished academician. He is a lifetime member of the International Astronomical Union (IAU) and Astronomical Society of India (ASI), and has actively participated in conferences, workshops, and scientific outreach activities.
