BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Saroj Ray is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Ray worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Dr. Ray received Ph.D. in Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis of super-critical droplet evaporation from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, India, in 2020. His doctoral research focused on developing numerical codes for super-critical droplet evaporation and analyzing the impact of high pressure on droplet evaporation. Dr. Ray has designed and conducted experiments using high-speed digital cameras to investigate head-on collisions between unequal-sized droplets. He also developed an analytical model for studying micro-explosions in emulsified fuel droplets.
