BIOGRAPHY

Naresh Krishna Vissa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, where he leads the modelling of the air-sea interaction lab. His research focuses on large-scale air-sea interaction processes, tropical cyclone-ocean interaction, oceanic mesoscale eddies, and synoptic and mesoscale meteorology. Before joining NIT, Naresh was a postdoctoral fellow at Lancaster University and the University of Dundee, United Kingdom. He completed PhD in atmospheric sciences at IIT Kharagpur. He had M.Sc. in Meteorology from Andhra University.
