BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Arnab Ghosh is currently working as an Assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela. He is associated with the Centre of Excellence (CoE) on Renewable Energy Systems. He is an IEEE Senior Member and Chartered Engineer. He received the “Young Scientist & Technologist” award from DST, Govt. of India. He received ‘IEI Young Engineers Award 2022-23’ in the Electrical Engineering discipline. Recently, he has been listed in the World’s Top 2% of Most-Cited Researchers under the Energy category as per Stanford University and Elsevier. Currently, he is associated with Five esteemed projects such as (1) Bilateral International Research Project of Indo-United Kingdom Joint project (UKIERI 2019) collaborated with Northumbria University, Newcastle, United Kingdom, (2) Indo-Sri Lanka Joint Research Programme collaborated with University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, (3) Impacting Research Innovation and Technology 2019 (IMPRINT-IIC), (4) Science for Equity Empowerment and Development (SEED), DST, (5) Naval Research Board, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Govt of India. He is the author of more than One Hundred Fifteen (115) research publications in international journals and conferences of repute. His work has been accepted by IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Applications, IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IEEE Transaction on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, ISA Transactions, Journal of Energy Storage etc. His research interests include power management in hybrid microgrids, the design of charging stations for EVs, control of microgrids, switch-mode power converters, nonlinear dynamics of switching converters, etc. Dr. Ghosh also supervises UG, PG, and PhD students in the design of power electronics converters for renewable applications and controls for Smartgrid and Hybrid Microgrid.
