BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Hanumantha Rao Bokkisam currently serves as an Assistant Professor within the Electrical Engineering Department, National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NITRKL). Within NITRKL, he is actively engaged with the Power System group. An esteemed member of the IEEE, Dr. Bokkisam previously held the role of Senior Power System Researcher at the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University College Dublin, Ireland. His research centers around the innovative application of blockchain technology in the electricity industry, extending beyond the conventional tokenized energy approach. Notably, his work titled "Blockchain transactions in the electricity industry: beyond tokenized energy" is a collaborative venture involving University College Dublin (UCD) in Ireland and the University of Edinburgh, UK. The financial backing for his research at UCD was graciously provided by the Science Foundation of Ireland (SFI), Ireland. Dr. Bokkisam earned his Ph.D. from the prestigious National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NITT). The financial support for his research at NITT came through the Visvesvaraya PhD Fellowship, granted by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), Government of India. He boasts an impressive portfolio of over ten technical research articles, which have found their home within an array of distinguished national and international conferences and journals. His academic pursuits encompass a broad spectrum of interests, including Smart Grid advancements, Energy Blockchain technologies, P2P Energy Trading mechanisms, Transactive Energy Management strategies, Demand Response Management techniques, and effective Demand Side Management practices.
