Faculty Profile

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Sahoo joined NIT Rourkela (Department of Chemistry) in May 2012 as an Assistant Professor. Prior to that he pursued his PhD in Germany (2006) followed by two postodctoral tenures (USA 2007 to 2009 and Germany 2010-2011). Before joining NIT Rourkela, he was serving as a guest scientist at IPF Dresden (Germany). His research group is working on protien biophysical chemistry and nanobiotechnology. To explore the biomolecular behavior, his research group is using optical techniques like fluorescence, circular-dichroism spectroscopy.
