BIOGRAPHY

Bimalendu Adhikari received his PhD from IACS (Kolkata) in 2012, followed by four years of postdoctoral research—first at the University of Toronto and then at Chiba University as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow. He is currently an Associate Professor at NIT Rourkela. Before joining NIT Rourkela as an Assistant Professor (Grade I) in 2020, he gained academic experience at IISER Mohali, Gorakhpur University, and NIT Silchar. He is a passionate researcher in Supramolecular and Bioorganic Chemistry, and has been recognized with several awards, including the CRSI Young Scientist Award, DST-INSPIRE Faculty Award, and JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for overseas researcher. His contribution has been highlighted in the 'Introducing... Profile' of Angewandte Chemie. He has published over 45 research articles in reputed journals (Avg. IF: ~7), with an h-index of 24 (i100-index: 12) and total citations exceeding 3200. Beyond research, he deeply enjoys teaching, consistently receiving good student feedback.
