Course Objectives
- To understand modern exploration techniques to identify coal deposit at higher depth of cover
- To understand issues and challanges during extraction of coal at higher depth of cover including ground control techniques
- To understand strata mechanics involved during mining activities at higher depth of cover through numerical modelling tools
- To understand application of modern geo-technical instruments for strata movement study for safe and efficient extraction of coal from higher depth of cover
