Quality by Experimental Design, Robust Design, Experimental Design, Measures of Variability, Analysis and interpretation of experimental data, Taguchi’s Orthogonal Arrays, Signal to Noise ratio (S-N Ratios), Parameter Design and Tolerance Design, Reliability Improvement Through Robust Design.
Course Objectives
- • To estimate the robustness of any given design (experimentally and analytically).
Course Outcomes
The course is designed to help students to achieve the following outcomes <br />• Select rational tolerances for a design. <br />• Explain the role of robust design techniques within the wider context of the product development process.
