Syllabus
Module I (8 HOUR): Introduction to air quality and noise pollution, classification, sources,
effects, air quality and noise pollution standards, role of meteorology.
Module II (8 HOUR): Sampling, measurement and analysis, air quality control devices for
particulate and gaseous pollutants.
Module III (8 HOUR): Dispersion, receptor and other air quality models, Industrial pollution,
vehicular pollution.
Module IV (8 HOUR): Physics of noise, measurement of noise pollution, indoor air pollution,
noise pollution and control..
Course Objectives
- This course provides a comprehensive overview of air and noise quality and the science and their control techniques
Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to: <br />CO1: Identify the sources of air and noise pollution and monitor the air and noise quality <br /> <br />CO2: Understand the concepts involved in modeling and control techniques
