Syllabus
Concept of Random Function and probability distribution function of natural parameters Traditional estimation techniques Definition of Regionalized Variables and the theory of Regionalized Variables Expectation, variance and covariance function Variograms - its formulation, estimation of experimental variogram and its modelling i.e. fitting with theoretical variogram, directional variograms Estimation using theory of Regionalized Variables (Kriging) and calculation of estimation error Cross-validation test.
Ordinary Kriging, Simple Kriging and non-stationary kriging Concept of block Kriging, Variance volume relationship, change of support, correcting for support effect, dispersion variance Non-parametric geostatistcal methods - indicator kriging, disjunctive kriging, log-normal kriging, Universal krigining Grade Tonnage curve.
