Abstract
Accelerated computing is the use of specialized hardware (eg GPU) to accelerate the performance of the given application. Accelerated eco-systems have been built to solve today's most complex and challenging problems using High Performance Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing Simulations. In this talk, the accelerated computing, and its advantages to have better performance and energy efficient computing, particularly in Earth Sciences will be elaborated. It will be followed by the live demonstration of weather forecast using deep learning-based weather model “FourCastNet”. The recent trends in weather forecast using AI/ML/DL and Quantum Computing will also be discussed.
