Abstract
::
Recommendation System suggest items based on user preferences. Most of the recommendation systems are developed for individual users. However, in recent times group activities have become more popular such as watching TV with friends, having dinner with group members. Therefore, these requires recommendation for group of users. The objective of group recommendation is to provide recommendations to group of users, which will satisfy the members of the group. In this report, an extensive survey of different group modeling techniques has been done and identified their limitations. Many techniques are addressed using different datasets from various domains such as music, movies, restaurants, tour, browsing, etc. The progress of the work is discussed where two approaches are also proposed. Firstly, a GR-Slope one approach is given for aggregate prediction and secondly GR-Slope one approach for aggregate model. The results obtained are promising as compared with the state- of- the-art methods. The accuracies of the proposed approaches are evaluated using two benchmark datasets, such as Movie-Lens and Netflix.
