3. Simulation of power system dynamics.
4. Transient stability analysis of power system.
5. Economic dispatch of power system.
6. Unit commitment.
7. State Estimation of power system.
8. Contingency analysis.
9. Design of load-frequency controller for automatic generation.
10. Design of power system protection schemes for transmission system.
11. Steady-state analysis of power system in PSCAD.
12. Dynamic Simulation of power system in PDCAD.

Course Objectives

  1. To simulate steady state and dynamics of power system.
  2. To implement optimal power flow algorithms
  3. To perform contingency and state estimation of power system.

Course Outcomes

At the end of the course, students will be able to develop MATLAB programs for power system simulations.
