1 An ability to independently carryout research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems
2 An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document
3 Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program
1 To prepare students for successful careers in industry/academic /Research areas that meet the needs of Indian and multinational companies/ organizations
2 To develop the ability among students to synthesize data and technical concepts for application of chemical Process design, equipment design and plant design with economic considerations and societal impacts if any, along with other related constraints
3 To provide opportunity for students to work as part of teams on multidisciplinary Projects with the multifaceted aspects of using computers/software and thus culminating in both written and oral presentations of results
4 To provide students with a sound foundation in the mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and analyze engineering problems and to prepare them for graduate studies
5 To provide students a familiarity with professional issues in chemical engineering including ethics, issues related to the global economy and to emerging technologies and thereby promoting student awareness of the life-long learning
6 To provide experience to the students with advances in Chemical Engineering through two semester project work & learning from experts time to time through interactions
7 To provide a broad knowledge in multi-disciplinary engineering subjects and latest technological advancements in computing and applied domains of engineering within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability
