Flexibility in

strengthen sponsored research, consultancy and continuing

Institute Ambience |
| 1. |
High bandwidth
(16 MBPS) internet connectivity is provided in each class
room and laboratories along with provision of LCD projector.
Adequate reprographic facilities have been created in
each department. |
2. |
All faculty are free on Wednesday
morning. Either the HOD or Departmental faculty meeting
is regularly held to discuss various problems of the institute
and departments. |
3. |
All computing and laboratory
infrastructure are open round the clock depending upon
the need of the students. Central storage and high speed
computing facility is provided to the academic community.
Internet connectivity has been provided to all rooms of
the hostels and faculty quarters of the campus. |

Uninterrupted high bandwidth internet facility
is provided to everyone in the campus. |
5. |
To provide a conducive academic
environment, the entire institute campus has been renovated
with regard to buildings, roads, utilities, security,
cleanliness and hygienic by the constant supervision,
up-gradation and development efforts put in by the entire
campus community. |

The academic campus now has
green lawns, gardens and flowers and has all the amenities
for developing superior personal, social and academic
skills. |

The campus community has strived
to inculcate the spirit of team work among the students,
faculty, staff and their faculty members to create a cultural
bond among all. |

The NIT mini-township has its
own water supply system. To overcome the power shortage,
new transformers have been installed, and overhead lines
are substituted by underground cables. The state electric
authorities have been approached for improving the quality
of power supplied. The campus and student hostels have
been better illuminated. |

New campus for faculty housing,
renovation of all existing staff quarters, new drinking
water supply system to both academic and residential campuses,
a new integrated sewerage system, extension of academic
building, lighting of sports complex, a new captive 33KV/11KV
sub-station have been planned and are in the process of
execution. |
10. |
The institute’s well-furnished
and an esthetically designed guest house is an attraction
for the visitors. The Visitors’ House also provides
comfortable stay with improved boarding and lodging facilities.
This has enhanced better academic interaction with our
distinguished guests. |
