The Graduands interested to receive their degree in the convocation are advised to pre-register online. Since all the events of the Convocation
are time-constrained and many logistics depend on actual number of graduands coming to attend the Convocation, you are requested to pre-register
on or before 10th January, 2019 to ensure a smooth and successful Convocation.
The Graduands will have to register online in the Institute website as early as possible and further register their name in person on 18th January 2019 (Friday)
between 8.00 am to 12.00 noon in the Rajendra Mishra Exhibition Hall of the Institute by producing any Photo ID (viz., NITR ID Card/Employee ID Card at the place
of work/PAN Card/DL/Adhar Card/Voter ID). Participation by latecomers is forbidden to ensure that degree certificates are stacked in advance in the right sequence, and that
there is no mix up during the Convocation.
Graduands reporting to receive degree in the Convocation are required to collect Convocation dress at the time of registration on 18th January 2019 (Friday)
between 8.00 am to 12.00 noon in the Rajendra Mishra Exhibition Hall of the Institute. Graduands will retain the
dress after the Convocation as a memory without paying any additional fee/charge for same. There will be four different sizes, viz. 38”, 40”, 42” and 44” of Kurtas
and the male Graduands has to mention their preferred size at the time of registration on 18th January, 2019 (Friday). Adequate number of dresses has been
procured for each size based on statistics of previous year. However, after exhaustion of stock for any size on first-come-first-served basis, dress may be issued one size
lower/higher as per availability.
There will be a rehearsal of the convocation process at 2.30 pm on 18th January 2019 (Friday) (i.e. on the afternoon of
the day before the Convocation) in the NCC Ground of the Institute. Since the Convocation is a sombre event, it is imperative that the event moves
without flaw. Only a complete rehearsal shall ensure compliance by all concerned. Hence, it has been decided not to permit a Graduand to participate
in the Convocation if he/she misses the rehearsal.
Please note that your certificate will bear your name as listed in our website (See Graduand List) which is the same as appearing in your last certificate as per Institute policy.
Please let us know if (and only if) there is a spelling mistake before 31st December 2018. You can email to email@example.com [Research Graduands] or
firstname.lastname@example.org [UG & PG Graduands]. We shall have no opportunity to correct it before Convocation under any circumstances, if informed thereafter.
Since we have limited rooms in our Guest Houses and both the Guest Houses will be occupied with our Distinguished guests, we will not be in a position to provide accommodation
in our Guest Houses except for Gold Medal winners. Graduands have to make their own arrangement.
Expecting your presence in the XVI Convocation.
